He travelled the world and left a positive impression everywhere he went. Especially in Europe Yamada Sensei inspired and taught countless students and Aikidokas.

He kept visiting his students in numerous European countries and taught seminars there. Also here in Rosenheim, Germany, we invited him and started with seminars for a weekend. These seminars grew and we felt encouranged to take the next step, organizing the famous and unforgettable Aikido summer camps in Bernau at Lake Chiemsee. People from all over the world travelled far to meet there and to take part in Yamada Sensei’s seminar. His unrivaled personality and pleasant character had a formative influence on the whole seminar. We are all grateful for the unforgettable time we had there with Yamada Sensei and we will cherish these memories for ever.

We will go on practising Aikido and doing so in Yamada Sensei’s sense we will keep the spirit alive.
